On completion of an Art and Design degree in 2001, I set up a workshop with a fellow artist in Felixstowe. In 2002 together with Pat Todd we took over premises adjacent to our studio where we opened Reunion Gallery.
On the closing of the Gallery after 11 years I took over the space and set up my Glass studio. In the studio I develop my artwork to be sold there and also at other outlets. In addition I run regular Glass Fusing workshops. My work has been exhibited locally, nationally and internationally.
I have been working with glass for twenty years; the techniques I use are fusing and slumping. I use pieces of glass to depict a landscape or natural form, also using copper foil and wire based on drawings and sketches I have made. Coloured glass (called Frit) is also used to add texture to reflect the changing moods and light. Finally I slump the fused glass over ceramic moulds to complete the process.
